For the school year 2023/24 we offer a 3-part package of dance workshop, performance visit and prevention workshop, which can only be booked together.

The 90-minute dance workshop with Manuel Gaubatz, dance teacher of the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, teaches the basics of choreography and dance technique in preparation for the performance of "Scarbo". In addition, various exercises strengthen resilience and personal protective mechanisms.

Dance workshop

Scarbo is a goblin who stirs our dancer up inside. We dive into her inner world and her memories. A world where sadness, anger, joy, helplessness and strength exist. Performance visit

The performance is followed by a FLASH workshop ("Frankfurt learns what it means to be different"). In four school hours, the young people hear a report from someone affected by mental illness about life with a mental illness, work in groups to develop images of illnesses, talk about resilience factors and reflect together on the dance piece "Scarbo".

In cooperation with FLASH, a prevention project of the Clinic for Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy sponsored by the Horst Haas and Irene Haas Scheuermann Foundation.

COST 6 € per student for the performance, the dance workshop as well as the FLASH workshop are free of charge.

Workshop dates will be arranged close to the performance.

This season, for the first time, we are presenting a dance theater and music piece specifically for children ages 6 and up. Visit "Wandeln" with your elementary school class!

The creation "Wandeln" is about change: in nature, in relationships, in one's own growing and maturing. Hands, feet, the whole body transform the clay. Landscapes, figures, fantasy creatures and much more are formed. Katja Erfurth creates intuitive images for small and large children. The result is a poetic dance theater and music piece that vividly deals with changing emotional worlds.

For the school year 2023/24 we offer a 3-part package of teacher training, school performance and workshop, which can only be booked together. A minimum of two and a maximum of four 3rd or 4th grades of a school should register for this together.

Following on from the performance "One One One", the children now try to discover their own means of expression and develop a personal language of movement. How can they "speak" and communicate with their bodies in the process? The workshop offers new possibilities of expression and builds bridges to hip-hop, Fortnite and the children's dance world.

Workshops for school classes

"One One One" means 1+1+1 and stands for one dancer, one chair and one child. Whoever takes a seat joins in. Child and dancer look at each other. Then they dance as long as both keep eye contact. A silent dialogue is created, a unique encounter and an opportunity to be there directly.

School performance

The advanced training is the basis for a series of lessons suitable for the piece "One One One" by Ioannis Mandafounis, which dancers of the company will also perform in the school. It provides age-appropriate dance exercises, but also exercises for reflection and understanding of dance, which can be used in the classroom.
