When Ruslan Bezbrozh plays the piano, he is often compared by critics and the public to masters such as Sviatoslav Richter and Emil Gilels. He has been called a world-class musician on multiple occasions.
The subtlety, technical brilliance and exciting beauty of his interpretations are often described by the press as astounding. Reviews of his various performances have repeatedly attested to the standing ovations and amazed cheers he receives from enthusiastic audiences. As he himself puts it, music is an inseparable part of his life.
Ruslan Bezbrozh was born in 1978 in Odessa, Ukraine. He received a multifaceted education as a pianist and composer at the music conservatory in his native city, Odessa. He completed his training as a pianist in 2003, receiving his degree from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main.
After repeatedly winning national events, he was awarded top prize at three international piano competitions:
1995 – 1st Prize at the International Piano Competition in Kharkiv, Ukraine, 1998 – 1st Prize at the International Competition for Young Pianists in Rome, 1998 – 1st Prize at the International Piano Competition “Rome 1998”
He has given numerous concerts in many of Europe’s major cultural centers, including Paris, Brussels and Rome.
