Svjatoslav Korolev was born in Denmark in 1995. He began playing the piano at the age of five, taking lessons from Natalia Poulsen. He was subsequently taught by Prof. Jóse Ribera until 2012 and then by Rikke Sandberg until 2015. He is currently studying under Prof. Florian Uhlig at the Music Conservatory Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden. He gave his first piano recitals at the age of nine in Denmark and at the age of 15 in Italy.
He has won a number of prizes at international competitions, including: Berlingske Tidendes Competition: Talent Prize, 2004, 1st Prize, 2005–2008, and Gold Medal 2009, Steinway Piano Competition: 1st Prize, 2006, and 3rd Prize, 2010, Tallinn Piano Competition: 3rd Prize, 2007, Slavic Music Competition, Paris: 3rd Prize, 2008, Tjarri Evangelia Piano Competition, Cyprus: 1st Prize, 2008, International Piano Competition, Caraglio, Italy: Winner in his age group, 2014
He was recognized as a “World Citizen of Denmark” at the age of 13. He has participated in various master classes, including with Prof. Jóse Ribera, Prof. Denis Chufaev, Prof. Nina Makarova and Prof. Roberto Plano.
In 2010, he was awarded a scholarship from Lions Club International in Portogruaro.
Since 2018 Svjatoslav Korolev is working with the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company.
